INKED:1 BOLD IMPRESSIONS
INKED:1 Bold Impressions is an ongoing experimental project focusing on tattoos that encourages the reader to add his or her opinion, comments, feedback, and voice. It is part one of a two part series document and may continue to grow as I become more intrigued, motivated, and inspired by ink on skin.
This book began as an exploration of tattoo aesthetics most commonly associated with the word tattoo. As I collected more information from surveys about people's connotations and thoughts about tattoos, a visual style came to mind. This style was developed, researched, and mimicked. The following images are just a few that document how I chose to apply tattoo aesthetics to items that are in our everyday lives; the unrelated, uncommon, and unexpected.
